It takes two to tango, the saying goes.
\nCheek to cheek, hip to hip, closer, closer,
\nA quarter turn, then the tempo slows.
\nWho consents, submits, plays aggressor?<\/p>\n

One lifts the other, the violins swell,
\nArt mimics life and so life becomes art.
\nDance may be a flight from an unvoiced hell,
\nOr simply a chance to try a new part.<\/p>\n

Some say men with men were just practising;
\nOthers take a hidden from history view.
\nPhotos of tanguista<\/i> women kissing
\nAnd changing roles mid-way is nothing new.<\/p>\n

If a tango partner’s needed today,
\nWho cares it’s a he, a she, or a they?<\/p>\n
